About the CEARES Network
The CEARES Network has been established in the frame of the CEARES Project, funded by the European Commission. It became independent of the project and started its own life on the 1st of April, 2010. The CEARES Network is a loose association of Central and Eastern European universities and research centres, which are linked to aeronautics.
The aim of the CEARES Network is to strengthen the co-operation among the Central and Eastern European scientific community in aeronautics. A common mailing list, the regular newsletters and the home page serve primarily as common reference points. The CEARES Network members are regularly informed about important workshops, events, info days and they are invited to CEARES workshops as well (four such events have been organised so far). CEARES workshop is the main forum where the members can present their institutes, their ideas, where they can meet the representatives of European leader industrial or research organisations as well as the delegates of the European Commission. The workshop serves as an important event for acquiring new partners, for raising common research topics and to exchange experience.
The membership can be acquired by application or by invitation. The target countries are mainly the New Member States, Austria, the Western Balkan countries and the former C.I.S countries.
