Why to become a Network Member?

The research capacities of the Central European states in aeronautics are currently under-utilised. This fact is even truer for New Member States of the European Union. To help the integration with the European research network, progress should be made in the following fields:

  • East - West cooperation: linking Central European research organisations with leading West European ones
  • East - East cooperation: strengthening the research co-operation among Central European states

The tool of CEARES Network for achieving the first objective is realised through basically by the active help of the Advisory Board. To achieve the second objective – being more effective in terms of European scale – research activities, research establishments in the New Member States should co-operate in an organised manner in the future. If they would like to integrate successfully to the European aeronautics research area, first they have to focus their activities on regional cooperation. The close location to each other helps to organise meetings, run common research programmes, tests, trainings, staff and student exchange. The CEARES workshops dedicated to CEARES Network Members provide opportunities for the leading research establishments:

  • raising common research topics
  • meeting with other partners from the region
  • learning from best practices
  • establishing new contacts
